The shy cassowary is the 3rd tallest and 2nd heaviest living bird. They are native to tropical forests of New Guinea and Australia, are omnivorous in nature (eating fruits, plants, and small animals). They can run 31 mph, jump nearly 5 feet, and are very good swimmers in rivers and the ocean.
