The Linwood, Kansas Community Library is hosting an amazing bird program on Thursday, June 23rd, at 1:00 pm. You will meet some severely endangered birds facing extinction in the wild. You won’t believe their incredible beauty and how intelligent they are. You also meet the LARGEST type of parrot, the very rare and endangered hyacinth macaw. Learn why the blue hyacinth macaw’s feathers really aren’t blue. Witness a live bird emerge from a book. Also meet a rare toucan, a talking and/or singing parrot, and ‘Swoop’ the enormous eagle-owl whooo flies over the audience’s heads in a silent flight. All while enjoying instinctual avian behaviors.
