Meet two of the largest owls in the world, Eurasian eagle-owls ‘Bubo’ and ‘Swoop’.   Bubo was raised by a wildlife biologist friend of ours and is new to being taken out, but there’s no better place to start than here!

You will see beautiful photographs of North American owls and hear their vocalizations.  This will help you identify surrounding owl calls and visual spottings of local owls.

Swoop is everybody’s long-time favorite owl of ours.  We got him when he was 9 days old…when he opened his eyes, so he would imprint on owner Yvonne.  Much different than what would be done with a native bird of prey.  Being from different countries, or non-native, these birds were raised for educational purposes.

We’ll see you at the library in Kearney at 10:00 am.
